My nephew and I have been getting along well this year. Previously, the most he could do was limited to screaming, but now the screaming has ceased, and his vocabulary has been extended to including phrases such as "good one!", "wow!", "big one!", "hot desert!" (something he picked up from a book about Pixar's Cars), recently, "let's do it!", and, his favorite, "light on/light off!" and all variations thereof.
That's my nephew's biggest fascination: the process of turning things on and off. He places me in charge of turning lights on, fans on, and, his favorite, turning a yellow water gun on he refers to as the "yellow hose." When he visits my room to see my bird, Walter (who he calls "Water") he sometimes says "bird off" when Walter is whistling.
He calls me "Uncle Mahbles."
